Canggu, Bali through my eyes!!

An overnight flight gets us (me and Jo) from the smoggy and cold Delhi to the pleasant tropical island of Bali in Indonesia.

Bali and its people are so welcoming and hospitable that it is hard to not fall in love with the place.

A wise decision of living in Canggu which is at a distance from the bustling tourist area of Kuta/ Seminyak.

Our humble abode in Canggu is the beautiful Umah Canggu villa that is hosted by Febby and Colin who are awesome.

The villa is surrounded by paddy fields which is a welcome relief from the smog infested urban jungles of Delhi.

With a pool and a rooftop gazebo, we couldn’t have asked for a better accommodation for our workation (vacation + work).

It is always wonderful to meet lovely people from different parts of the world in a tropical paradise.

A short 15 minute drive to the beach which also happens to be the location of my favourite spot to hangout and chill – Oldman’s.

A chance encounter with fellow bloggers Janet (journalistontherun) and Ian (escapingexpectation) at Oldman’s can be best described as ‘meeting of wandering souls’.

Also, catching up with old friends from my last trip to Indonesia (Bandung) was quite eventful and gastronomically delightful.

It has been just a couple of days, however, it is safe to say that I am in total awe of Bali and looking forward to a wonderful stay.

A culinary wonder –

That’s it for now.

More to follow….stay tuned!

    • Sure thing! No second thoughts about that, maybe except for the incessant rains 🙂
